To empower families through compassionate health education, support NICU parents and their babies, and promote equitable access to life-saving knowledge in underserved communities in the U.S. and the Philippines.

Our History
Lean & Learn Health Foundation grew from the personal journey of Lan and Rosie, whose son Leandro was born prematurely and spent 88 days in the NICU. Their experience of learning, waiting, and supporting their baby inspired a commitment to help other families facing similar challenges.
That commitment became practical community outreach, including the donation of 5,364 diapers to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City. The foundation’s work connects health education, family support, and local partnerships across the United States and the Philippines.

Lan Cabatingan
Lan Cabatingan is a healthcare leader, nurse practitioner, and educator committed to advancing patient care, nursing education, and community health. His leadership spans clinical practice, professional service, education, and nonprofit work, with a focus on empowering future nurses, promoting evidence-based care, and expanding access to health education and community resources.
